Pakistani Cleric: Islamic Revolution Inspires the Oppressed Worldwide

The Secretary-General of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan has hailed Iran’s Islamic Revolution as a global symbol of resistance, saying it continues to inspire oppressed nations nearly five decades after its victory.

Hawzah News Agency- In a statement marking the 47th anniversary of the 1979 Revolution, Hojatoleslam Seyyed Hassan Zafar Naqvi congratulated “the oppressed of the world” and described the Islamic Revolution and its leadership as emblematic of steadfastness in the face of injustice.

He said the legacy of Imam Khomeini lives on through the Revolution’s “faithful sons,” who, under the leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, have transformed the Islamic Republic into a model of perseverance against global domination.

“Islam calls upon all oppressed peoples to remain steadfast against unjust systems,” Naqvi stated. “Today, the world clearly sees that the Islamic Revolution of Iran has given new strength and renewed hope to subjugated nations.”

The senior Pakistani cleric said the Revolution has transcended Iran’s borders, shaping political consciousness across the Muslim world and reinforcing a discourse centered on dignity, sovereignty, and resistance.

Referring to the historical narrative of Karbala as a symbol of sacrifice and defiance against tyranny, Naqvi said that spirit continues to animate the Islamic Revolution and its supporters worldwide.

He noted that the “hostile plots” of major powers—particularly the United States and the Israeli regime—have repeatedly failed to weaken the Islamic Republic, arguing that continued resistance has elevated Iran’s standing among nations seeking independence from external pressure.

Naqvi further expressed hope that the Islamic Revolution would ultimately align with what he described as a broader divine promise of justice for the oppressed, framing it within an eschatological outlook shared by many in the region.

Concluding his message, he stressed the importance of safeguarding the Revolution’s achievements for future generations and continuing the struggle against oppression and global arrogance.

The remarks were part of a series of statements issued by political and religious figures in Pakistan and other countries to mark the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, underscoring its sustained resonance among segments of the Muslim world.
